Yakwetu Community Based Organization - is a multifaceted program with a focus on providing alternative education that enables sustainable food production (through GreenHouse Farming, Hydroponics, Beekeeping, Permaculture and other farming models) and also create educational programs that enables young men, women and children to improve their lives in the areas of environment sustainability, good hygiene practices, mental health well-being and other vital life-skills. These activities has seen the organization partner with, among others, The British Council Global ChangeMakers where the organization was selected alongside 50 other organizations Worldwide as fitting the criteria of a ‘Changemaker’. Yakwetu also more recently partnered with Sewing Together - Victoria Rally where the organization assisted in educating just over 1,000 girls and boys on menstrual hygiene, human reproductive systems and general well-being. The organization continues to formulate various programs that will equip under-priviledged societies with useful information for creating sustainable food production and other vital life-skills.


•Providing educational programs and workshops on life skills. 
•Fostering personal and interpersonal development among young men. 
* Build a center of learning that is equipped with modern learning equipment that will enhance the knowledge transfer experience to the local communities, especially young men. 
•Building ideas and strategies to make tree planting sustainable and appealing to the local communities.
* Design and Build Demonstration Farms and Green Houses that will serve as a showcase to local communities for best practices.
* Design and hold workshops to educate local communities regarding importance of Tree Planting/Tree cover and Designing Sustainable Farming/Permaculture Practices.
•Research and inform on the best land use plans, soil management practices and efficient water uses so as to adapt to the uncertainties of changing climatic environment.
•Research, Understand and Relay the role of citizens, public land management agencies, and non-governmental organizations in protecting and conserving natural resources.
•Creating a supportive community for learning and growth.
