The Yakwetu Approach

Introduction

Beekeeping offers a sustainable way for communities to improve their livelihoods while contributing to environmental conservation. Beekeeping also helps protect bee populations, which are threatened by habitat loss, pesticides, and diseases.

Yakwetu Africa aims to introduce a Bee Keeping Practice to empower the local community members of Kwale County, Kenya, with the skills and resources needed to manage beehives productively and sustainably, produce honey, and derive economic benefits from beekeeping. This initiative aligns with Yakwetu Africa's mission to promote sustainable development and community self-reliance.
